Eleven Months!

How are we only one month away from having a one year old?!

Everly has 2 teeth now and still does not sleep. After taking her first steps the day she turned 10 months, she has not done much since. A lot of that probably has to do with fighting illnesses almost the entire month! After fighting a virus for a week we ended up in the ER for slight dehydration and found out she had Pneumonia. :( They put an IV in and gave her some fluids and antibiotics, which started helping tremendously. The next day we received 9 inches of snow! Emma got to go outside and enjoy it. She would purposely fall to the ground and crawl in it, we made snow ice cream, a snowman, and a gingerbread house. It was a fun day! (Those pictures can be found in the Emma update below) Due to sickness, Everlys month was not very exciting and most of her pictures are of her sleeping. Poor thing! We are on the mend and slowly getting back to normal now.

**Emma Update

This past month Emma had her winter ballet recital and school Christmas program. She did great in both! Mom fail: I left her ballet shoes and the Toys for Tots toy sitting on the dryer and the recital was 20 minutes away. I was so proud of Emma for not having a meltdown (like I was) and just went with the flow. Luckily they had extra shoes for her to borrow, thank the Lord! She had her own speaking part in the Christmas program at school and did so well! She spoke the loudest and clearest and didn't even need her teacher to recite what needed to be said. So proud! One night after dinner we took her over to Texas Tech and showed her the giant tree and all the lights around campus. She loved it and kept wanting to go back!

Christmas 2018

This year was Everly's first Christmas and Emma is at that age that Christmas is getting more and more exciting every year. It was a lot of fun watching the excitement in Emma. Everly wasn't completely into it, but Emma was quick to help her open the presents! We stayed home for Christmas with Dayton's family and Kyle, Amanda, Ellis, Sarah, and Matt all came down. It was fun watching the cousins play together and the adults getting to play cards once the kids went to bed! We decorated cookies, got family pictures done, and made a quick visit to the Buddy Holly museum.
