Maternity Leave Coming To An End

Well, maternity leave is coming to an end. Emma and I have a week and a half left together before we have to send her to daycare and I go back to work. :( Not too much has changed. We are still working on tummy time, waiting for Emma to completely support herself on the ground. She is starting to look at us more and be able to lock eyes on us and move when we move. She will make faces with us and we are still waiting on that definite smile from her! A smile that is a smile because of something we did, not because she is pooping! haha! This past weekend I took all of the newborn clothes out of the drawers. We are now wearing 0-3 month clothes, so I guess that's a sign she's growing! :) We just can't get enough of this girl, so I am going to just post a ton of pictures that Dayton and I have taken on our phones.

Such a poser!

Teaching her to love her Pug brothers early!

Emma is good luck for the Cubs. They won after we put this bib on her.

Pugs still aren't too sure about her.

Had to dress appropriately to go and visit Dad at work.

So frowny

She finally let me put her in the swing and she fell asleep in it!

Before we know it, Emma will be 2 months! Time is flying. If she could learn to change her own diapers and sleep all night I would never want her to grow up! ;)

One Month

One Month!

Emma Grace is one month today!! Where has the time gone!? Emma loves to show us how strong she is and lifts her head, but really only enjoys it when doing tummy time on us. Tummy time on the ground is a lot of grunting and chewing on her arm, but she still seems to tolerate it and tries really hard to "crawl" by kicking her legs.

A few nights ago she started sleeping 5-6 hours in between one of the feedings at night and then about 3-4 between the second feeding. That means only having to get up twice in the night! Praise the Lord! Lets hope it stays that way until the next growth spurt and when teething begins. We can't wait to see what she will start doing this month!

She makes the funniest faces when we are having tummy time on mom and dad.
