Solids, Tailgate, and Playing with Toys

At Emma's 4 month appointment we were given the green light on starting solids. They said to start with rice cereal and if she took it well, we can start with "level 1" foods. Below is a video of how "well" she took it. Very entertaining for us! Needless to say, we took a break and will give it try again next week. Her expressions crack us up! When I recorded this the phone froze and the video was gone. I was so bummed. Then today it magically showed up! I am so happy that we have this video and can all see Emma's first bites. :)

NOT impressed

Emma got to go to her first tailgate. Of course, it was cold and rainy but we bundled up and she seemed to enjoy all of the attention! She is also starting to reach for her toys a lot more and loves to grab them and chew on them. Just this past week she seems to have found her knees and toes. I suspect she will be chewing on those little toes in no time!

Four Months!

***I forgot to post Emma's artwork from school! It'll be at the bottom!

4 Months! Emma is beginning to "talk" to us a lot more. She is VERY alert, and is always wanting to be entertained. Which we guess is why she loves daycare so much. Home isn't as stimulating as daycare unless we are standing in front of her acting goofy. That can be a little tiring after awhile. But we will do anything to make her smile, we LOVE that smile and it gets bigger every day! She is 24.5 inches and weighs 13.8lbs! We finally saw her roll over, but only once. So we are still working on that. When she is doing tummy time she is lifting her butt and trying to scoot. She would love to be on the move, but we told her she needed to learn how to turn over every time first. We have heard our first giggles and we couldn't get enough of it! I can't wait until she starts doing it non stop, it melts my heart!! She also loves to grab onto things and chew/suck on everything, including our arms. Makes for a fun slobbery mess. :)

I have posted a ton of pictures, yet again. Emma makes so many facial expressions which you will see below. Such an expressive baby! She also loves to stand, sometimes its the only way to make her happy by letting her stand on us. She is finally just tall enough to stand in her jumper, and she loves it! Enjoy!
