Seven Months & Christmas

7 Months and this baby is ready to be on the GO! She seems to be happier standing than being on her tummy and trying to crawl. We had a fairly good Christmas, and of course, Emma was spoiled with all sorts of toys! Unfortunately, she got an ear infection that hit on Christmas day so she wasn't our normal smiley girl. We got a few smiles out of her, but they didn't last long. Poor thing just wanted to be snuggled and pain free. Luckily she had her Aunts, Uncles, Grandma and Grandpa to walk her around and make her feel better.

We have started experimenting with level 2 foods and some adult food that she can gnaw on and taste different textures. We are currently dealing with a stomach bug, so all solids have come to a halt and we are trying to get back on track with formula! The bronchiolitis is still there, but the doctor said she could tell it is getting better. So we are continuing breathing treatments and patiently waiting for some relief from all of this sickness!

Emma is babbling a lot more now. She even says dada! Although she does not know she's saying it, we still love to hear it! She also loves to do light little screams. We tried to get a video of it below. It cracks us up! She especially does it when she sees the pugs or when I am assisting her in chasing the pugs. ;)

Excited for food.

Cereal is fun to play with!

Nothing better than watching her sleep in peace.

Six Months

Emma is 6 months! Half a year! Did we skip a couple of months? I can't believe we have survived as parents and Emma is still surviving us for 6 months already! :)

Emma is sitting up on her own now and loves it! She's not happy at daycare if she isn't sitting up playing with her friends or in the jumper. She is 26 inches tall and weighs 15.5lbs! She was diagnosed with bronchilitis and we had the option of letting it ride out (like we have been for several months now) or we could try breathing treatments. We opted to try the breathing treatments as we are willing to do anything to help our snotty girl! So she is now a proud owner of a purple dragon nebulizer. The doctor said she can tell there are teeth coming soon, they just wont make their appearance. Which would explain the constant drool, chewing on things, and some sleepless nights. Come on tooth, come on!!

We are excited to celebrate Emma's first Christmas! Santa will be coming to daycare on Friday, and we MIGHT brave the mall and go and see Santa there too. We can't wait to see her open presents and play with her new toys!

Shes proud of herself for being able to put the paci in by herself!

Thanksgiving & Baptism

Thanksgiving was in McKinney this year, and we flew! Emma went on a plane ride for the first time and did GREAT! Our smiley girl was quite the flirt with everyone at the airport and with all of the family. It was good to see all of the family and while there, Emma found her voice. We are in trouble, because it was non stop and loud! :) It cracks us up and she's cute, so she gets away with it. Emma was baptized the Sunday after Thanksgiving and we are so thankful for everyone that was able to make it out and celebrate with us! I am still waiting on some pictures of the baptism, but got a few that I will share now! The 6 month update will be coming very soon!

On the plane!

All these fun new toys, and she chooses to eat her sock.
